Kaizer Chiefs registered their third Premier Soccer League win on Monday in a row after suffering four consecutive defeats across all competitions.
The 3-1 victory against Orbit College at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was vital for the Glamour Boys, who are chasing a CAF Confederation Cup spot at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Amakhosi needed to do it the hard way after falling to an early Mbulelo Wagaba’s strike. Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Siphesihle Ndlovu responded with a goal apiece to give the Glamour Boys a massive win.
Kaizer Chiefs expected a difficult game
“I think we expect before the game it would be a difficult game, we started very bad in the first half, the first 30 minutes, and we conceded the first goal and after we conceded the first goal we react- started to play our football,” Youssef told SuperSport after the game,” Chiefs’ co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef stated after the match.

“Then, at halftime we rectified a bit about our offensive innovation, I think I’m so happy about the second half, first half wasn’t good but the second half apart from the blame, its good, good mindsets, losing 1-0 and to come back to win 3-1.
“We created a lot of opportunities in the second half, now like I said we have to think about the next game, we finished this game, congratulations to the fans, congratulations I’m so happy about the performance of the players. But now we have to think about the next game,” he added.
Kaizer Chiefs target explained
The third consecutive victory piles pressure on the Glamour Boys with nine rounds remaining before the current edition concludes. Ben Youssef insists they are taking a game at a time and don’t want to put pressure to the players.

“I think from the beginning of the season, we’re saying that we’re managing every game like a cup game, we’re managing each game game-by-game, we don’t want to put a lot of pressure on our players, we have a lot of young players also.
“So, we have to keep them and protect them, I think the target in the team it’s the same – managing game-by-game now this game is finished,” Ben Khalil concluded.
