Coach Manqoba Mngqithi will be playing against Kaizer Chiefs as the head coach for the 21st time across all competitions on Saturday.
Mngqithi will be leading Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League after taking over from Rulani Mokwena who is now the Wydad Athletic Club head coach. After a rocky start to the 2024/25 domestic campaign that saw his team getting eliminated from the MTN8, the 53-year-old has managed to turn the fortunes around.

The PSL champions have won their last four games across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and conceding just one.
The Glamour Boys have not beaten Masandawana since April 2021, and coach Mngqithi will hope to maintain the record. However, the stats are against him.
How many times has Mngqithi faced Chiefs as the head coach?

Initially, Mngqithi has coached Golden Arrows and AmaZulu, as well as an initial spell with the Brazilians.
The tactician has defeated the Glamour Boys six times out of the 20 meetings across all competitions, drawing four and losing 10 times with all three teams combined.
