‘Kenya’s Benni McCarthy converted long-distance runners to footballers! Come to Pirates’

Benni McCarthy's Harambee Stars of Kenya topped CHAN's Group A with 10 points after three wins and a draw.

The latest triumph was on Sunday afternoon against Zambia, where they won by a solitary goal to deny Morocco the top spot. The North African nation beat the Democratic Republic of Congo 3-1 to finish second with nine points.

Kenya will now play Madagascar in the quarter-final to be played on Friday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi, as Tanzania tackle the Atlas Lions in Dar es Salaam.
