Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu meet on Tuesday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban in the Premier Soccer League assignment.
The Sea Robbers are currently on 32 points, the same as leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a superior goal difference. Interestingly, AmaZulu, who are coached by former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane, will go top with victory against the favourites.
Usuthu are placed fourth on the table with 30 points after 16 games from which they have won nine, drawn three and lost four.
The Sea Robbers have been doing the job without their two star players. Sihle Nduli has been out of action since an injury against Golden Arrows way back on November 2025.
His compatriot Selaelo Rasebotja tore his cruciate ligament that has seen him out of action since May last year.
What Pirates have said about the duo ahead of AmaZUlu outing
“The trip to Durban sees them heading away from Soweto for the second time in 2026, after playing to a goalless draw away to Sekhukhune United in their first fixture of the year,” they said in a statement.
“It’s a result they will be determined to improve on in an effort to hit another high note halfway through their league campaign.
“With fixtures coming in thick and fast, head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou could shuffle his pack on Tuesday, giving minutes to the likes of new signing Mpho Chabatsane who appeared on the bench in the two previous matches while midfielders Sihle Nduli and Selaelo Rasebotja continue to recover from their respective injuries,” Bucs media team added.
Pirates are now unbeaten in 12 PSL games explaning why they come into the match as favourites.
