Chiefs sit third in the table under Fernando Da Cruz, unbeaten in four league matches but seeking a first win in three after back-to-back draws against Sundowns and Richards Bay, the latter marred by a costly Brandon Petersen error. Da Cruz has received a boost on the injury front, with left-backs Paseka Mako and Bradley Cross both returning to training, though neither is yet at full fitness, while Thabiso Monyane, Langelihle Phili and Flávio Silva all remain sidelined.

Siwelele, in their second Betway Premiership season, have failed to win any of their opening four fixtures and have lost both away matches without scoring, leaving head coach Lehlohonolo Seema searching for a response. Despite the form gap, the visitors carry a notable psychological edge: they remain unbeaten against Chiefs in two previous meetings, including a 2-0 win in Bloemfontein last April courtesy of goals from Tebogo Potsane and Siphesihle Jeza that secured their top-flight status.

History therefore favours the underdogs on paper, with one win and one draw from two encounters, though the gulf in current form and squad quality makes Chiefs strong favourites to end that run.
