Miguel Cardoso’s side have not lost at Loftus Versfeld in 27 consecutive league matches, a new PSL home unbeaten record that eclipses Stuart Baxter’s previous mark with Kaizer Chiefs.

Siwelele, by contrast, are the division’s only winless side, taking just two points from five matches, a run that cost head coach Lehlohonolo Seema his job on Tuesday. Caretaker Godfrey Mosoetsa has had barely 48 hours to prepare his side, who will also be without hat-trick hero Ghampani Lungu after his move to Orlando Pirates, and may hand a debut to goalkeeper Jody February, on loan from Sundowns themselves.

The reverse fixture last season finished 1-1 in Bloemfontein, but the return leg at Loftus produced a stunning 7-4 Sundowns win, the highest-scoring match of the entire 2025/26 campaign.
