Latest on Mamelodi Sundowns news in the last 24 hours, including Jayden Adams’ memorial plans, foreign quota reshuffle and more.
What Goss’ Sundowns return means
The return of Ricardo Goss at Mamelodi Sundowns looks set to have an effect on the goalkeeping department, with the likes of Jody February and Reyaad Pieterse likely to move further down the pecking order.
Goss has returned to Chloorkop after a loan spell at Siwelele FC and indications are that Sundowns want to hold onto the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper in the upcoming campaign, with talk of him possibly getting some game time as an understudy to number one Ronwen Williams.
Williams is 34 and Sundowns are starting to plan for the future, but the Bafana Bafana number one is expected to be the leader of the pack before someone else comes in as a permanent number one.
For February, it could man having to make another loan move to give himself more chances of getting regular game time. February has previously had loan spells at Swallows FC and AmaZulu and another move cannot be ruled out as yet, considering how much competition there is in the goalkeeping department.

February was the only first team goalkeeper at Sundowns who did not make an official appearance in the PSL. Williams, Onyango and Pieterse featured.
Pieterse, meanwhile, is set to stay with Sundowns for at least another campaign following reports of his latest contract extension.
Adams memorial details
Adams passed away over the weekend, not long after representing Bafana Bafana at the FIFA World Cup and winning the CAF Champions League with his club, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns’ foreign quota to be reshuffled
Mamelodi Sundowns’ foreign quota of Portuguese/Spanish speakers will be reshuffled during the current transfer window.
Sundowns closed the past season with the Portuguese pair of Nuno Santos and Miguel Reisinho, Chilean midfielder Marcelo Allende, Brazilian forward Arthur Sales, and Colombian striker Brayan Leon.
Now, with The Brazilians intending to make new foreign signings, Reisinho will be sacrificed.
The towering midfielder has fresh options following a one season spell with Sundowns where he was limited to only 14 appearances.

This was less than a third of the games played by the club through the 2025/26 season after joining on a free transfer from Boavista.
With Reisinho leaving it will mean Sundowns maintain the tradition of changes in their foreign quota with every window.
