Mamelodi Sundowns are 90 minutes away from winning their second CAF Champions League crown, 10 years since their maiden title.

Sundowns beat Moroccan side AS FAR 1-0 in the final first leg last Sunday and need to avoid defeat in Rabat to be crowned on Sunday.

The Brazilians have been looking for Champions League glory for the last decade and all they need is to protect their lead at a hostile venue to finally end that drought.

Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is not buying into the talk that they will be intimidated by a hostile crowd in Morocco when they take on AS FAR in the second leg of their CAF Champions League final on Sunday.

“We enjoy playing in such atmospheres, in front of sold-out crowds. It is what we live for, we enjoy the pressure, the moment and that is what comes with playing a Champions League final,” he said at the pre-match press conference.

“Playing in full stadiums, sold-out but we have got the experience, we have done it for the past few years but every game brings its own experiences, opportunities and we are all prepared for all situations that the game will throw at us.”

Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso is confident that his team will get over the line and deliver the Champions League title as they head into the second leg of the final holding a 1-0 advantage.

“We have been preparing in such a committed way that we need to think it is possible after the first match to arrive here and be part of a beautiful celebration of the match itself but mostly, make the best you can to lift the trophy,” he said on Saturday.
