Maseko, Kekana’s thoughts

Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has shared his thoughts on the situation around Twinger Thapelo Maseko, who is expected to leave Sundowns within the coming weeks.

Maseko faces an uncertain future at Chloorkop. He was completely omitted from the club’s pre-season tour to Austria and is understood to have now been permitted to secure either a loan deal or a permanent move away.

“Football belongs to players, and if as a player, you feel the environment does not suit you to perform at your best ability, I always believe players should move,” Kekana said on SoccerZone.

“But they have to come to an agreement between the club and the player.

“What I do know is that football is exciting when footballers want to move for better or greener pastures.”

Mosimane’s initiative lauded
