Mamelodi Sundowns have provided a positive injury update on talented attackers Nuno Santos and Peter Shalulile after the duo missed recent action, while also confirming a fresh blow.

The club’s medical department, headed by Dr Carl Kgabo Tabane, confirmed that Shalulile and Santos are back to full training, itching closer to returning to the matchday squad. Meanwhile, the doctor also revealed a fresh blow with the Bathusi Aubaas injury setback

“I think in the last update, I had a few players in the ward, but the number is coming down. We’ve got Nuno Santos, who’s out of the ward, and he’s training fully. We have Peter Shalulile, who is also training fully,” said Tabane.

“But unfortunately, when some are going out, some are coming in. We have Bathusi Aubaas, who suffered an injury just after the Esperance match. We’re still going to do some investigation to get the extent of the injury, then we’ll give an update.”

Sundowns want ‘statement performance’ vs Richards Bay

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Arthur Sales has called on his teammates to put on a statement performance for their supporters when the Brazilians host Richards Bay in a sold-out Umhlathuze Sports Complex on Sunday.
