Latest on Kodisang
Football agent Mike Makaab has revealed that finding the right club for former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Kobamelo Kodisang is the priority as the 27-year-old looks to revive his career.
Kodisang joined Sundowns in July 2024 from Portuguese outfit Moreirense but struggled to secure regular game-time at Chloorkop. He subsequently spent time on loan at Portuguese side AVS FS, where injuries hampered his progress, before joining Stellenbosch FC for the remainder of 2025/26.
Following his return to the Tshwane giants, Kodisang appeared to not be in head coach Miguel Cardoso’s plans, leading to a mutual termination of his contract in September.
“The most important thing now with ‘KK’ is that he has worked hard in the off-season. He has been in a special programme at Sundowns, but now we’ve got to find him a home that is going to be an opportunity for him to revive his career,” Makaab told KickOff.
“This is going to be a very important six months for him.”
Makaab confirmed that there has already been interest in the player from abroad, with clubs in North Africa and the Middle East reportedly exploring the possibility of signing him.

“We’ve had some interest in North Africa, we’ve had some interest in the Middle East, but again the difficulty is his lack of game-time,” the veteran agent explained.
“We’ve got to get him in an environment where the club is going to understand his potential and work with him to get him to a certain level of fitness so that he can make a difference on the field. And that’s the challenge that we face with ‘KK’, not his ability,” he concluded.
