Matsatsantsa have bolstered their squad with two midfielders and a goalkeeper

SuperSport United have made three new additions to their squad as they shape up for the new season with the arrival of two midfielders and a goalkeeper.

Matsatsantsa have roped in midfielders Brooklyn Poggenpoel, Keanin Ayer and goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa.

Poggenpoe has joined SuperSport on a one-year contract from PSL rivals Chippa United and will add some dynamism into their midfield while Ayer brings a wealth of experience after stints in Ghana and Europe.

Matsatsantsa have now signed two goalkeepers

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has also played in Norway and Denmark and has signed a two-year deal with an option for another.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ayer has joined the Tshwane side on a one-year deal with the option to renew and will provide competition between the sticks.

The former Moroka Swallows goalkeeper is the second custodian to join the club following the return of Ricardo Goss on a two-year loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The three take SuperSport’s new signings to seven

SuperSport have also captured experienced midfielder Vincent Pule on a free transfer after his exit from Orlando Pirates while Pogiso Sanoka joined from TS Galaxy.

Defender Nyiko Mobbie also joined Matsatsantsa on a permanent deal after a number of loan stints.

Gavin Hunt’s men finished seventh in the PSL last season but appear determined to change that in 2024-25.
