Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s future has reportedly been decided following the club’s hierarchy meeting.
The SA publication TimesLIVE reported that the Tunisian coach was set to be axed following inconsistent performances this season.
The report came out despite him winning the Nedbank Cup trophy where he ended the club’s ten-year trophy drought.
The Glamour Boys had not lifted major silverware since Stuart Baxter guided them to the Absa Premiership title on May 9, 2015, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha. This long wait made today's triumph all the sweeter for their supporters.
However, according to Soccer Laduma the club’s board had a meeting where it was decided that Nabi “wasn’t going anywhere”.

‘WE DON’T KNOW WHERE PEOPLE GET THIS’
“We really don't know where people get this. The meeting was only heard today, and it's believed that the coach is not going anywhere,” the source told Soccer Laduma.
“Everyone now apparently agrees that changing the coach again will be like stop and go and then stop again. They are also believed to want to see the coach see off his contract as that will at least guarantee continuity.
“So, since he has at least one year remaining on his contract and then that one-year option. But the main decision will be at the end of next season, not this season. It's believed that the coach is not going anywhere.
“The team wants him to stay and see off his contract. But unless the coach himself is not happy and resigns then that's a different situation but not from the management firing him. So, that's how things are believed to be at the moment. So from where I stand, the coach will see his contract through.”
