Orlando Pirates have already started restructuring ahead of the new 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.
Apart from challenging for the domestic competitions – like the league, Nedbank Cup, MTN8 and Carling Knockout, the Sea Robbers will be competing in the Caf Champions League, hoping to go all the way after reaching the semi-final in the almost-concluded edition.
On Thursday, they announced defender Innocent Maela and midfielder Miguel Timm will not be part of the playing unit.

Reports have it that Bucs have already completed the signing of Marumo Gallants midfielder Masindi Nemtajela. The Sea Robbers beat Kaizer Chiefs to the services of the versatile midfielder who had a goal and an assist in the 16 Premier Soccer League matches played in the 2024/25 season.
What will Nemtajela bring to the Buccaneers?
Nemtajela was a key player for coach Abdeslam Ouaddou as his team pushed to a 10th-place finish on the table with 32 points from the 28 games played. It explains why the tactician believes Bucs have managed to get a good player. He has, however, urged the 23-year-old to give his best to stand a chance of getting a regular spot.

“You know, Masindi [Nemtajela] is a very great professional. We are happy for him and wish him good luck in his new endeavour. He and his family should be proud, and we, as coaches, are proud as well. Now, he is going to leave Bloemfontein for Orlando Pirates. It’s a big club, and there will be a lot of competition,” he told FARPost.
“So, he has to be professional and keep working in order to continue improving himself,” Nemtajela concluded.
