Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze insists the Glamour Boys will not be thinking about revenge when they play Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
The two teams will be facing each other in the Nedbank Cup’s Round of 32 at the DHL Stadium. Interestingly, the two sides met in the initial round of the Carling Knockout, and Stellies, who were then under coach Steve Barker, won the game in the penalty shoot-out.

Since then, Barker has left for the Tanzania Premier Soccer League side Simba SC, paving the way for Gavin Hunt to take over.
Kaze insists the main job for his team will be a win, which will see them make the Round of 16. He argues that going with the mentality of avenging the initial loss is not on his agenda.
The pressure will be there, but…
“It is true that Stellenbosch eliminated us in the Carling Cup. That’s the beauty of those knockout games because you can talk about that after that Carling game, we were the better team on the field and controlled the whole game and had many opportunities to score, but unfortunately we lost on penalties,” the Burundian said
“That is the beauty of the game, when you play little you can expect big rewards. But there is no revenge in football. It is just another game that we need to prepare for thoroughly and try to have a good performance to expect a very good result.
“The pressure is there despite even the fact that being champions a club like Kaizer Chiefs has pressure on a daily basis.
“That is what comes with the badge. We know that the pressure will be there, and we will go with it,” Kaze concluded.
