Former Orlando Pirates striker Phumudzo Manenzhe feels Relebohile Mofokeng is playing so well that he should be crowned the PSL Player of the Year at the end of the season.
Mofokeng has netted eight goals and added six assists in 28 matches this term with seven of the goals coming in his last nine games, including a hat-trick against TS Galaxy last weekend, and Manenzhe feels the 21-year-old has no equals at the moment.
“The way Rele is playing, I would give him the Footballer of the Season Award today. If the season ended today, I would give it to Rele Mofokeng,” he said on SuperSport TV as quoted by KickOff.

Appollis’ goal in the 1-1 draw against Panama took his tally to 16 goal involvements for Hugo Broos’ men with eight goals and as many assists.
Six of the eight goals and two assists have come from his last 10 games for Bafana Bafana and heading to the World Cup, his form will be key to how South Africa perform.

Orlando Pirates vice-captain Tapelo Xoki insists winning the PSL title is not something the club has started pushing this season but has always been their main agenda.
Pirates have not been at the top of the tree since 2012 but this season, they are showing remarkable form and consistency and enjoy a one-point lead over Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the standings, giving fans hope that their 14-year drought is soon coming to an end.
“It’s been a build-up over the years, and we are in a good position now, having learnt in the past seasons where we fell short and hopefully, we finish strong and get the one we always wanted. It’s the only trophy eluding us so far as a group so it’s the one we’re going for,” Xoki said as per iDiski Times.
