Latest news about Orlando Pirates, including Kabelo Dlamini’s expected departure, Bucs-bound duo released by their club, Sipho Mbule to rise again, and more.
Dlamini set for new challenge
Stellenbosch FC are edging closer to completing the signing of Kabelo Dlamini from Orlando Pirates in what looks like a potential swap deal between the two clubs, and Faiz Abrahams and Dublin Boon going the other way.
“Stellenbosch are on the verge of completing the signing of Kabelo Dlamini from Pirates in deal that could see Faiz Abrahams and Dublin Boon joining the Buccaneers, with talks still ongoing between both clubs,” iDiski Times reported.
“Dlamini has been with Pirates for six seasons and made 187 appearances in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and setting up 23 assists. He won one league title, four MTN8, one Carling Knockout and two Nedbank Cups.

“Meanwhile, Abrahams has spent some time overseas when he was on loan at Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel, playing 11 matches during which he scored three goals and laid three assists,” they added.
Pirates bound duo?
Stellenbosch FC have bid farewell to midfield duo Ibraheem Jabaar & Mthetheleli Mthiyane ahead of the 2026-27 season. Mthiyane has joined Orlando Pirates while Jabaar is a free agent with his contract up on June 30.
I haven’t lost hope in Mbule
Former coach of Sipho Mbule, Kwanele Kopo, believes the talented midfielder can bounce back from his recent setback.
In a conversation with Soccer Laduma, Kopo admitted that he’s saddened to see Mbule without a club.
The player’s agent Mike Makaab confirmed earlier this month that Mbule has been let go by the Buccaneers, who decided against renewing his contract. He was with the club for only one season.
Kopo pointed to Mbule’s age, which is 28, and argued that it’s not too late for him to turn things around.

“His situation is a bit disappointing, but I haven’t lost hope in him,” the tactician opened up.
“I really hope that there can be a club or a coach out there that is really willing to give him the last chance. Because I don’t think he’s completely gone off the rails.”
