Orlando Pirates forward Relebohile Mofokeng is now just three goals behind the league’s leading scorer Junior Dion following his brace against Golden Arrows on Tuesday.
Mofokeng has scored five goals in his last two games and nine in the PSL so far, all of them coming from his last 10 games, and he now trails Dion by three as the Arrows star has 12 while Mamelodi Sundowns striker Iqraam Rayners is on 11.

With seven games to go, Mofokeng has a chance to claim the Golden Boot award for the first time in his career if he maintains this form.
Fans deserve tight title race – Ouaddou
Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou believes a tight title race is what the supporters should be getting every season and not a situation where one team runs away with it very early.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been wrapping up the title quite early in the last few seasons but things are different this term with the Brazilians and Pirates separated by just two points with seven games remaining and Ouaddou is thrilled by this race.

“For me, I always said it’s the best in Africa so the fans deserve to have this race until the end and to have interest because if there’s no interest in football people lose it and are now interested anymore,” said Ouaddou as per Soccer Laduma.
“So yeah, it’s good to have even a tough time for the team but let’s see what happens at the end of the season. It’s something I told you until the last second we will be here (laughs).”
Mofokeng sets high demands for himself
Orlando Pirates forward Relebohile Mofokeng might be hogging the limelight but he is remaining grounded.
Rele netted a brace in their 5-0 win over Golden Arrows on Tuesday to take his tally for the season to 10 and nine in the league to be named Man of the Match in back-to-back games but the 21-year-old is remaining humble.
“The most important thing in football is you must work,” Mofokeng told the club’s media. “If you do not work, you don’t get the results. You must attack and defend, it goes with the game. So every game, I must keep improving and giving the result. I must keep on going.”
