Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou delivered a strong message to critical supporters after his team’s commanding 6-0 victory over TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon.
The Buccaneers climbed to the top of the Premier Soccer League standings with the emphatic win, highlighted by a brilliant hat-trick from Relebohile Mofokeng.
While Ouaddou praised the passionate backing the team received at Mbombela Stadium, he took the opportunity to address fans who jeer players for making mistakes during matches.

“I think it’s more than a reaction; it’s a fantastic game for us and a very good answer for people who doubt the commitment of the boys,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV as per Soccer Laduma. “I always say that nobody on our team comes onto the pitch wanting to lose or draw.”
The Pirates coach contrasted the positive atmosphere with the negativity he has witnessed from some sections of the fanbase.
“Some people need to understand that all the players are sweating in the shirt. It’s simple: we scored six goals today because we had fantastic support from the true fans. Every time we come to this city, we have fantastic support,” he explained.

“Every time we go to Durban, we have fantastic support, and the players feel that. Unfortunately, when you miss the ball or the team draws, people start to boo the players. Those are not the true supporters. You can see that when people support them, the players give everything.”
He concluded with a word of praise for his squad and a warning to their rivals: “So, congratulations to the boys today. We sent a strong message that we are not tired, and we are going to fight until the last second, just like I said.”
