Orlando Pirates will face Siwelele FC on Tuesday without Deano van Rooyen, Selaelo Rasebotja, and Thabiso Sesane for the match who are still injured.

The Buccaneers come to this match in top form on the back of three wins in a row. Meanwhile, Siwelele FC is struggling, having only collected one point in their last six league games.

The newly-formed club is also dealing with significant off-field issues, including the recent departures of CEO Stan Matthews and assistant coach Andre Arendse.

“They recently welcomed club skipper Nkosinathi Sibisi back from injury and await the return of Deano van Rooyen, while Selaelo Rasebotja and Thabiso Sesane are also recovering from injuries that have kept them out of action during the early stages of the campaign,” the club stated.

Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi says they have set sights on three points against the Free State-based outfit.

“It’s another opportunity for our team to battle for three points,” he told Pirates’ media team.

“Tough opponent, very unique – they can play three at the oback, they can play four. One of the teams, according to stats, that are very crossing, maybe the history of the previous club.

“Having said that, Pirates is here to battle and get three points. That’s the only mandate we have.”
