Orlando Pirates legend Benedict Tso Vilakazi has likened Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Kutlwano Letlhaku to Lucas Costa Ribeiro.
Vilakazi's praise comes after Letlhaku's impressive performance in his first full 90 minutes for Masandawana, where he netted a brace against Polokwane City.
The young left-footer, who made his professional debut this season, has already contributed three goals in seven appearances across all competitions.
Vilakazi believes that Letlhaku possesses qualities reminiscent of Ribeiro, who has been a standout performer for Sundowns this season.
VILAKAZI – I SEE A SMALL PICTURE OF RIBEIRO IN LETLHAKU
“When I look at Letlhaku, I see a small picture of Ribeiro in that boy with left foot, how he is so smart in trying to find spaces for himself,” said Vilakazi on iDiskiTV.
“You know I like a player that tries to create space for himself, running away from an opponent and find yourself in an open space where you can take good decisions.
“I mean look at that first goal, initially it was a foul. He was there kneeling and they played quick…you know that you cannot teach players that thing.
“The instinct of him, he stood up and they made a run forward. They played to him and (he scored).
“If you don’t know that he’s a young player, you will say ‘wow he has experience’.”
