Pirates Transfer News: Magesi sign duo from the Buccaneers

Orlando Pirates have been doing quite well in the transfer market, bringing in quality players to help them push for major honours and letting the fringe ones leave.

Recently, they brought on board three new faces to strengthen their already-impressive squad. Andre de Jong came in from Stellenbosch to add firepower in attack as well as strengthen the midfield.

The Buccaneers have also signed Marumo Gallants duo Daniel Msendami, who is versatile in the attacking department, as well as defender Mpho Chabatsane, who has been seen as a replacement for Mbekezeli Mbokazi who left recently for the Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.

Bucs have also let Sinoxolo Kwayiba leave for Chippa United, Monnapule Saleng join Mamelodi Sundowns, while Tshegofatso Mabasa and Lungelo Dondolo have joined Stellenbosch and Midkands Wanderers respectively.

Magesi confirm arrival of duo

Magesi FC, who are in their second season in the Premier Soccer League, have also snapped up players, albeit on loan, from the Soweto giants. Dikwena Tsa Meetse have been inconsistent in the South African top tier, which explains why they signed them.

“As the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season continues, Magesi Football Club would like to confirm the arrivals of defender Siyabonga Ndlozi and striker Sifiso Luthuli from Orlando Pirates,” they confirmed on their website.

“Dikwena Tša Meetse’s management made the announcement on Wednesday, 21 January 2026. The 23-year-old Ndlozi is a defender who can operate in every position across the back four.

“Luthuli, meanwhile, is a 24-year-old striker who would be looking forward to making his mark. Magesi FC would like to welcome the duo to our club and wish them well for the rest of the season,” they concluded.
