Former Kaizer Chiefs star Collins Mbesuma has warned Zambian club ZESCO United against expecting an easy game when they clash with the Glamour Boys this weekend.
Chiefs will take on ZESCO in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage in Ndola on Sunday with both sides looking for their first win after the Zambian club lost their first two games while Amakhosi have one point.
While Chiefs have struggled, losing 2-1 to Al Masry before needing an own goal to draw 1-1 with Zamalek, Mbesuma has cautioned ZESCO, telling them that the Soweto giants possess players who can punish any little mistake.

“My advice to Zesco United is that they should know that Kaizer Chiefs are not a team who love to play even when they win the ball,” Mbesuma told Zambian outlet BolaNews as quoted by KickOff.
“They always like to capitalize on the mistakes of the opposition. When they win the ball, they attack a lot because they have speedy strikers and wingers. So as soon as they win the ball, they go forward.”
Mbesuma then advised the Zambian team about the best way to approach the game against the South African giants.
How can the Zambian side contain Amakhosi?

“So ZESCO United should have a compact defense and play with a lot of caution. Zesco can win the game; they just have to be careful on counterattacks,” he added.
“I wish them all the best. I know Kaizer Chiefs is also my team, so let the best team win, but I will be happier if ZESCO United carries the day.”
Chiefs will be hoping for their first group stage win in the competition and head into the match high on confidence after beating Golden Arrows 1-0 in the league on Tuesday.
