Orlando Pirates winning streak came to an end after they lost with a heavy score line of 3-0 in the DStv Diski Challenge on Saturday.
The Buccaneers were defeated by the Rockets in a match that was played at the Sturrock Park in Johannesburg.
Pirates had won their last two games against Sekhukhune United and the struggling Marumo Gallants.
The defeat dropped Joseph Makhanya’s men to the fourth place in the league standings with eight points after five games played.
AMAZULU CLAIMED BRAGGING RIGHTS IN KZN DERBY
Meanwhile, AmaZulu secured a 3-1 victory over their provincial rivals Golden Arrows in the KZN derby.
Bayanda Thabethe, Sipho Ngubane, and Tebogo Mashigo scored for Vusumuzi Vilakazi-led side while Khumalo netted a consolation goal for Abafana Bes’thende.

This was their second in a row after they beat Chippa United last week.
This win propelled Suthu to a third place in the standings.
Richards Bay also claimed a 2-0 win over Marumo Gallants, while Royal AM's match against Cape Town City was forfeited due to a shortage of players.
