IRVIN KHOZA ON WHEN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP TROPHY CAN BE EXPECTED

“Something we didn’t talk about [at the announcement] was the trophy [of the league] it will take a very unique journey because it’s a trophy that has a lot of history and cultural elements around it,” said Khoza.

“It’s going to take a bit of time to finalise – it’s a story on its own, it’s a journey of its own and when we say to the members of the fourth estate; watch this space, because it’s something monumental, something historical, something… the best to come out of this country.

“There are so many things that are beautiful but we forget to talk about it ourselves. The journey of finalising this trophy will capture the essence of who we are as South Africans, the best we can get out of this country.

“You [the media] will be invited when that journey starts, to share with you, the development of that journey, the travelling of that journey, ultimately to the day we finalise the issue of the trophy, so watch this space.”
