Former Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is set to be in South Africa next week, sparking rumours of a possible job in the PSL.
Riveiro left Pirates in May this year after three successful years at the club when he led them to five trophies and back-to-back second place finishes in the league in his final two seasons, a major improvement, after their previous struggles.
The Spanish coach also implemented an attractive style of play at Pirates and elevated a number of young players into the senior team while there was professionalism and discipline within the playing unit.

Since he left, Riveiro took over Egyptian giants Al Ahly but was sacked four months into a two-year contract after a less than impressive start to the season in the league.
The Spaniard has been without a club since but has been linked to jobs in South Africa, including Kaizer Chiefs, Bafana Bafana and even Mamelodi Sundowns, but his coaching future still remains unknown.
However, he will be in South Africa next week but his visit to Mzansi is reportedly not linked to any coaching job as he will be on a promotional tour instead being one of the guests for the Carling Knockout Cup Campaign media update that will be staged in Sandton.

According to Soccer Laduma, the 50-year-old will join Carling Black Label Brand Director Kerryn Greenleaf and football analyst Simphiwe Dludlu at the event, which will provide an update on the 2025 Carling Black Label Cup.
Riveiro is not new to this event as previously led the Carling All-Star team to two trophy wins while he will be hoping that his former club will be on the winners’ podium this time after he tried without success in his three years with the Soweto giants.
Pirates will contest this year’s Carling Knockout final against Marumo Gallants at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, December 6.
