Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi believes the Premier Soccer League winner will be determined with a couple of matches to go.
Currently, the race is seemingly between the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, current Orlando Pirates, and Kaizer Chiefs who are separated by just five points.
The Buccaneers have hit 35 points from 15 games, two more than Masandawana who are second. The Glamour Boys, who have shown massive improvement in the 2025/26 season, are third on the table with 30 points.

In a jibe seemingly aimed at Amakhosi, Mngqithi is adamant that some teams are not that impressive but claim lucky wins.
I forsee inconsistent results
“I don’t think this league is going to be decided on the last day. I think there are a lot of people who are playing bad football who are still fortunate. I honestly don’t think this league is as difficult as people think,” he said in a presser.
“But, I don’t want to say much, but the reality in my opinion, I think we still have a lot to improve on, in this league, my team included. I honestly think the football this season has not been at a level that the spectators think it is. That is why I still expect big surprises in the league and wait and see that.

“I still see the results that no one anticipates in the second round. I foresee results that are going to be very inconsistent and that will change the face of the front four probably every weekend.
“But, at a certain point when it settles down, I still see a six, nine point gap somewhere there,” the former Sundowns tactician concluded.
