‘Riveiro leaving Pirates for Al Ahly is useless, they will do him like Mosimane but no Muti there!’

Speculations in South Africa and Egypt indicate that Jose Riveiro will be the new Al Ahly coach after his exit from Orlando Pirates.

The Red Devils are without a coach after parting ways with Marcel Koller, who failed to help the team beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the Caf Champions League semi-final. The struggles in the Egyptian Premier League also contributed to his dismissal.

Have a look at how the fans reacted to the news that the Spaniard might be confirmed at Al Ahly.

Riveiro leaving because Pirates don't pay

Jose Riveiro Orlando Pirates

I am a Chiefs fan, but leaving Orlando Pirates for that team is useless. What happened to Pitso Mosimane will happen to Jose Riveiro –  Wire Mnisi

Riveiro wanted to be part of this prestigious tournament called the Fifa Club World Cup, and I am definitely sure that some of the players from Pirates also wish to follow him –  Lihle Madiya

I told them that there is no coach who can just leave a team and say he misses his family. It is because Pirates don't pay. I am sure he was earning R200 000 – Seoman'e Zungu Bizza

Al Ahly pays coaches lots of money; that's why the club board demands positive results all the time. I believe that it might be double what he got at Pirates or more. Thanks for the beautiful football Spanish Guitar and I wish you success – Dees Silw

Good luck Jose Riveiro; no muti there. Finally, you are free from that Muti man – Junior Qwabe

All along Riveiro was busy with Al Ahly project

Wrong turn, but at least he would have coached The Club of the Century. He was never really good at Pirates, he just found hungry youngsters who fought and mainly won on individual brilliance. He did not have a Plan B in most instances. He must take Monnapule Saleng with him, the boy needs a break from the chains of The Ghosts – Moses Moreroa

Riveiro won't survive there, mark my words. Al Ahly doesn't take nonsense, even here at Pirates he was assisted by referees to win those Cups he won. but good luck to him – Dumisa MtshanaWamantambo Sokhasi Mramba

Bobby Motaung mentioned that these coaches were in South Africa to upgrade their CVs, once they’re rich, they leave for better offers – Gubhela Gubhela

This Jose Riveiro will be the worst coach to have ever coached Al Ahly – Sifiso Fistos Sithole

So the man was busy with his Al Ahly project all along, hence the surprise move by the club to go after Pirates players, and eventually causing a scandal with Saleng – Dee Jays
