Wydad Athletic Club coach Rulani Mokwena has challenged the Moroccan FA to act fast to protect players and fans from possible loss of life.
In the Botola Pro League match between his side and AS FAR Rabat that ended 2-2, a section of the fans engaged in a stone-throwing contest that could have ended with a grievous injury.
The South African tactician was forced to carry one of the stones to the presser, explaining why he was frustrated by the whole scenario.
We are rivals but we are not enemies

“It’s sad for me to bring these [stones] here but someone has to do it before someone loses his life,” the 37-year-old told the media.
“We are rivals but we are not enemies. It’s sad that my players had to escape these heavy stones thrown at them. The spirit of football should not be around this Morocco is not this and I am very disappointed.
“I was told that this is normal, it cannot be normal that players play against an opponent that is very good and it’s a big club, it's an amazing club in an amazing country that is full of amazing people,” Mokwena stated.
We made a big statement

Mokwena was happy with the fact that his team collected a point from a tough AS FAR team. Last season, they lost both meetings.
“We were good, very good; I think we made a very big statement today, it’s not easy to come to AS FAR, as I said, a Champions League team that has been together for a very long time, three seasons.
“We will improve and get better.”
The recent draw took Wydad AC third on the table with 23 points from the 14 league games they have played. Their next assignment will be on monday against second-placed Renaissance Zemamra.
