The midfielder lost his place at Sundowns

He has fallen down the pecking order at Sundowns where Toboho Mokoena, Marcelo Allende, Sphelele Mkhulise and Lebohang Maboe were ahead of him and he was not ready for an extended stay on the bench.

Sekhukhune coach Lehlohonolo Seema commented on his need for reinforcements with his club set to compete in the league and CAF Confederation Cup.

“It’s not even about [Caf competitions], the games in the Betway Premiership are already going to be on top of each other. We are going to spend two weeks here [Polokwane],” said Seema.

Why do Sekhukhune United need Sipho Mbule?

“We are playing four games here so as long as we have depth because injuries will come, loss of form and a lot of things can happen.

“But it is not about Caf [Confederation Cup], we are just trying to make sure we balance our squad so that in each and every game we can have a good team.”

Mbule has been at Sundowns since 2022 after crossing over from Tshwane rivals SuperSport United and has made 51 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
