‘Sundowns saved us from noise pollution, Pirates can’t even beat relegation material’

Mamelodi Sundowns fans feel the title race is now only destined to Chloorkop after their team’s 3-1 victory over Marumo Gallants on Tuesday.

Sundowns opened a two-point lead over Orlando Pirates following the win which sees them take their tally to 50 points from 21 games while the Buccaneers have 48.

An own goal from Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya gave Sundowns the lead before Philip Ndlondlo equalized just before halftime but a second half brace from Teboho Mokoena won it for the Brazilians and their supporters think there is no turning back.

“And we expect Mokoena, Allende and Leon to play for the Nedbank and Black Label Cup, no guys, we need to stop this nonsense, these are Club World Cup players.” – @david_tema

“Dankie Masandawana, you saved us from noise pollution. Jou lekker ding.” – @_Hybreed_

“The not-on form Sundowns has just become the first club this season to win their 8th league consecutive game.” – @deesty500

Sundowns know how to win the title

“We lost 3 key players. But still got a win. When they say Sundowns knows how to win the league it is not just a saying it is a reality. Well done boys.” – @BETTERSA_

“As a Chiefs supporter that you loaned for the rest of the season, I am happy since joining. We never lost. Maybe I will do a permanent stay. As long as Naturena is still in the mess, I am staying.” – @Hendri20133133

Arthur Sales gets his flowers

“Sales has proved me wrong over time. Credit to where credit is due, 4 assists in 5 games and a better display lately.” – @PeterSentongo10

Should Reisinho and Johannes slammed

“Reisinho has no business starting ahead of Tsiki and Johannes has no business starting ahead of Mali. It was a very uncomfortable game to watch but I am happy for the victory. We March on.” – @MohauMosai

Cardoso finally getting credit?

“That is the difference between them [Pirates] and us. Those games, we need to grind a result and show our experience. Miguel Cardoso’s subs were spot on. Tashreeq Matthews, that one will never improve, keeps getting worse, day in days out.”

Is this when Orlando Pirates lost it?

Pirates fans

“Pirates lost the league when they failed to beat Sundowns. They should never dare blame other teams when they themselves failed to take matters into their own hands. That match against Sundowns at FNB was a league decider. When Pirate lost, I knew it was chai for the league.” – @Outie_Egrend
