Mamelodi Sundowns have sealed the services of former Kaizer Chiefs graduate Tsiki Ntsabeleng on a season-long loan.
The reigning Premier Soccer League champions have been struggling to bolster the attacking department in the absence of Brazilian Lucas Ribeiro, who is pushing for an exit. Ntsabeleng , who plays for the Major League Soccer outfit FC Dallas, has been brought in to help unlock defenses after recent struggles.
The 27-year-old joined Dallas in 2022, but despite registering 92 appearances to date with seven assists and two goals, he has struggled for game time in 2025 where he has played just 13 games across all competitions.
He recently signed a two-year extension with Dallas, but seemingly, he is currently surplus to requirements, which explains the move.
Dallas confirms Ntsabeleng's exit
“FC Dallas has loaned midfielder Katlego “Tsiki” Ntsabeleng to Mamelodi Sundowns FC of the South African Premiership until June, 2026,” the club said in s statement.
“Ntsabeleng registered 92 appearances, two goals, and seven assists across all-competitions with FC Dallas, including 13 appearances in 2025. The Johannesburg native made his professional debut with FC Dallas on Feb. 26, 2022, against Toronto FC in the 73rd minute. He scored his first professional goal on April 23, 2022 against Houston Dynamo. Ntsabeleng was drafted 28th overall in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft out of Oregon State University.
“Ntsabeleng played in 31 matches during his time at Oregon State University, scoring six goals and recorded 12 assists. He was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and All-Far West Region First Team during the 2021 season. Before transferring, he starred as a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference honoree at Coastal Carolina University and was named 2018 Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year.
“In 2019, he helped Coastal Carolina win the Sun Belt Conference. He played for the Stars of Africa Football Academy and UJ Club in South Africa,” they concluded.
It is interesting to see whether he will be part of the team to play Stellenbosch on Saturday in the PSL outing.
