Maema set to join De Reuck at Simba SC

Sundowns have now confirmed the exit of Bafana Bafana midfielder Neo Maema, who is currently with the Bafana Bafana team competing at CHAN co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

“Thank you, Neo! After four incredible years, four league titles, one Nedbank Cup, one MTN8, one African Football League title, 120 appearances, 13 goals and 14 assists, the Yellow Nation bids farewell to Neo Maema.

“We wish you success in the next step of your career!” read a post from the club.

Maema, who was a target for Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates some time back, is reportedly on his way to the Tanzanian heavyweights Simba SC, who are coached by the former Bucs coach Fadlu Davids.

The 29-year-old has been doing well at CHAN, where he has a goal in two matches as Bafana Bafana push for a quarter-final ticket.
