Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso implied that their 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows on Wednesday was an unfair result.
In the Betway Premiership clash at Hammarsdale Stadium, Sundowns twice saw goals disallowed by match officials, preventing them from taking the lead.
Arrows eventually opened the scoring through Keenan Phillips, but Lucas Ribeiro later equalized with a penalty – his 13th league goal of the season.
Cardoso, however, was left lamenting the lost points, suggesting the outcome was unjust.

‘IT’S THE SECOND GAME WHERE…’
“I think it was more than fair that we get the three points. I think we scored more than enough goals to win the match as it was clear for everybody for sure,” said Cardoso.
“So, we saw two teams, working hard and we saw one team that was not on the level of the game. I think it’s important to understand that.
“The level of the league like this should also have the [top] level on all the teams. Unfortunately, we saw things that I don’t even want to speak about.
“It’s the second game where…Congratulations to my players. They had a good game, very good second half in terms of battling for the result. Unfortunately we could not get it.
“Let’s move forward in order to be as best as possible in our next matches.”
Cardoso also emphasised that consistent application of the rules is essential for fairness to all.
“We just want to play games as fair as they should be and according to the rules of the game and that everybody follows the rules of the game,” he added
“That’s just what we want. Let us play football.”
When asked whether he meant referees, “No, I’m just speaking, whatever. I’m just speaking.”
