The treble at Naturena? Chiefs co-coach Kaze opens up on possibility of delivering three trophies

Kaizer Chiefs are chasing the Premier Soccer League, the Nedbank Cup, and the CAF Confederation Cup.

Amakhosi co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze have done quite well in ensuring their team is delivering despite their critics feeling otherwise. The Glamour Boys are currently just two points behind PSL leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and second-placed Orlando Pirates.

The Soweto giants are just four points away from the CAF inter-club quarter-final and will be aiming at defending their domestic Cup.

However, Kaze feels it is too early to discuss the possibility of winning all thetrophies at their disposal. He argues it is a game at a time and that they will keep pushing and see how it ends.

A positive way of thinking at Naturena!

“It is the middle of the season, and we are already talking about a treble, but I like that,” Kaze opened up to the media in a presser.

“I like that, that’s a positive way of thinking, and every man has a dream, every coach has a dream. That’s why I wake up every day at six in the morning, preparing for my sessions, preparing for my meetings with our players and videos collectively.

“That’s why I sleep very late at night, preparing for the next game, because nothing comes easy, nothing comes without hard work. And as Kaizer Chiefs, we are pulling ourselves into every positive situation to work for everything good that can happen to us. And we will keep going until we see how far we can reach,” Kaze concluded.

The next assignment for Amakhosi will be on Wednesday night in the Nedbank Cup’s initial phase against Stellenbosch before playing Al Masry on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup’s matchday five.
