Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba has been seen at Wydad Athletic Club, fueling speculation about a potential move to the Moroccan giants.
Mothiba has been without a club since leaving Ligue 1 side RSC Strasbourg and has been linked with several clubs following his recent injury recovery.
He previously spent time with Karlsruhe in Germany, but a proposed transfer to Standard Liege ultimately fell through due to disagreements over personal terms.
MOTHIBA INVITED TO TRAIN WITH WYDAD?
However, Mothiba may be on the verge of joining Wydad Athletic Club, as Moroccan media reports indicate he was invited to train with Rulani Mokwena's squad.
Mothiba was seen at Stade Larbi Zaouli on Saturday evening, strongly suggesting that a transfer to Wydad Athletic Club is likely to happen.
Kaizer Chiefs are on of the clubs that the 28-year-old has previously been linked to, however, he explained why he was spotted in Naturena earlier this year.
WHY MOTHIBA WAS IN NATURENA
“I have an agency now in South Africa…,” he told FARPost. “It’s me and my brother … but we work with the boss himself, Ludo, my agent.”
“That’s why I was at the [Kaizer Chiefs] village; I went there to present the agency and who I’m working with. When I was there, I told them why I was there.
“While I was there, we got to speak to Ludo, and he told them who he was. After that, I saw everywhere that Lebo was at the Village, and it’s a done deal.”
