Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung has revealed when Amakhosi faithful will see the club’s new signings with the season set to commence at the beginning of August.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys are currently in Turkey for a pre-season training camp as they gear up for what is anticipated to be a transformative season under the new leadership of Nasreddine Nabi.

Although Chiefs have not yet made any official announcements regarding new acquisitions, it is understood that they have successfully recruited Bongani Sam and Fiacre Ntwari.

Last week, Jessica Motaung, the marketing manager of the club, reassured the fans that they were working diligently behind closed doors to finalise additional signings.

Speaking to Lesedi FM, Bobby Motaung confirmed that Chiefs fans will see the new signings on the 28th of July when Nabi’s troops take on Young Africans in the inaugural Toyota Cup at the Toyota Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.

BOBBY MOTAUNG ON WHEN CHIEFS FANS WILL SEE THE CLUB’S NEW SIGNINGS

“We are coming to celebrate with you. You will be the first people that are going to see the new players, the new coach will be unveiled at the Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein, which is organized by our sponsor, Toyota,” Motaung explained.

“We are bringing love and joy to the people of Free State. We understand that there is a team coming there [Marumo Gallants] but for now we are bringing love and joy. We saw how much love Bafana Bafana brought when they filled up the stadium.

“We will be catering to our supporters in that region. We will be honouring Dr Petrus Molemela, the Chiefs legends will be playing the Celtic legends. We are bringing nothing but love and joy on the day.

“We are not announcing players, they will be seen on the day [28 July]. We have only announced the coach so far. The coach is working, he is a mechanic – he is fixing this club.”
