Why Chiefs are wary of Stellies threat: ‘They might know what we are doing!’

Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler is anticipating a tough fixture on Tuesday against Stellenbosch in the Premier Soccer League outing to be staged at the FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi come into the match aware that they can’t afford to drop points if they are to challenge the defending champions Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns for the South African top tier crown.

Ahead of the new season, the Maroons signed three players from the Glamour Boys; Given Msimango, Ashley Du Preez, and Gopolang Taunyana to help them strengthen for the season.

Frosler is adamant the trio might know how Chiefs are planning to approach the game tactically.

“Yes, there’s been a couple of players who have been here in the past and that have moved on and I think there’s only two or three that are there now from this current season, the new season that started,” he told the media in a presser.

“So yeah, they might know what we’re trying to do, they’re still going to try and stop us if that’s what they want to do.”

Frosler further explained why Amakhosi are better placed to claim maximum points.

“I think coaches have given us a good time off to spend with family to break away a bit and then to come back and feel re-energised, if you want to call it that. For us to be ready and be fresh for the rest of this month, I think we’ve got a heavy month coming up as well, so yeah, I think we should be good,” he argued.
