Bafana Bafana scored a lucky goal and parked the bus. You ain’t going far in this competition –   Super Mikel

Congrats, boys, we’re proud of you. Just remember that we could’ve done better than we did, and winning is addictive – VJ Fv813

We’ll take the win, but Bafana Bafana’s inability to retain possession is still a concern. We win the ball only to give it straight back to the opposition, often with rushed or aimless clearances. Against stronger teams, that won’t be sustainable. We need to keep the ball better, control the tempo, and build attacks with composure – Kwele Pontsho

We have a serious coaching problem. We made the mistake again after scoring. We took out the most creative player and replaced him with a defensive player. We were under so much pressure in the last 10 mins, anything could’ve happened. We have to be attack-minded all the way – Vumi

Well done, boys, making us proud. You can beat Canada and progress further –  Jamie Wanjogu Cpa

We criticised Hugo Broos, he listened even though he’s arrogant, thank you, Madala – Poverty Official

I hope now Hugo sees the importance of Mofokeng in this squad! I’m going to be so mad if he does not start him in the round of 32, he’s capable of playing Lyle Foster – John Mayor

Congratulations on making history against all odds and earning the right to be remembered as the most accomplished South African football team since the advent of our democracy. Thank you for never giving up and making us proud –  Tebogo Ditshego

The worst team in the World Cup is alive and still kicking.  Tell Argentina to start preparing for their final opponent – Zuzumuzi Mavuso

We all threw insults at Yaya Sithole after the opening game. I want us all to take this moment and applaud him for the good shift.  Yaya Sithole redeemed himself and was crucial for us, especially off the ball. He kept things simple, released the ball quicker, and had a good game! – Loui
