Agent comments on future of Chiefs target

Mike Makaab, the agent of Lamontville Golden Arrows striker Lungelo Nguse has given an update on the future of the player.

Nguse has been a revelation for Golden Arrows, leading the line with impressive performances in the past two seasons.

Before the start of the season, the centre-forward was linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs as Amakhosi were in the market for a striker after missing out on their primary target, Fiston Mayele.

Makaab mentions that Nguse's body shape sets him apart from other strikers.

While acknowledging that Nguse is currently contracted to Golden Arrows, Makaab expressed his belief that the player will continue to be the subject of interest from other clubs.

MAKAAB ON NGUSE’S FUTURE

“He is under contract at Arrows, there has been interest in him and I like him as a player, I rate him as a player. I think he brings something different to a football club. He’s a big, strong striker,” Makaab told FARPost.

“And I don’t have to tell you, big strikers are disappearing from the scene at an alarming rate, and when you’ve got a big striker, it just gives you another option.

“So I think he’s a really talented player, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Golden Arrows get real interest in Lungelo Nguse in the next couple of months.”
