Agent on Chiefs-linked star & Sundowns outcast: ‘Everything will be concluded soon’

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Kobamelo Kodisang, who was heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs about two seasons ago, has been in the cold.

Coach Miguel Cardoso has not been keen on using the 26-year-old since he has players he feels have what he needs to deliver. After the potential move to Naturena Village fell through, the winger moved to AVS Futebol SAD on a season-long loan, but it lasted just six months.

In the last six months of the 2025/26 season, Kodisang was part of the Stellenbosch team led by Gavin Hunt. But again, he struggled to fit in, which led to struggles for game time.

The Brazilians are keen on either selling or loaning Kodisang to create more space for the new signings.

Kodisang: What is the agent saying?

Kodisang’s agent Mike Makaab has explained the current situation, but revealed that they are about to find a solution for their client.

“Look, we are exploring loan options for Kobamelo Kodisang, and at the moment nothing has been finalised,” Makaab said in an interview with FARPost.

“So while we’re searching for a club for him, he’s training alone, he’s on a special program, and we hope that everything will be concluded soon,” the established agent concluded.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Miguel Cardoso-led team announced they have parted ways with Miguel Reisinho: “We are grateful for your time, effort, and commitment in Yellow, and we wish you nothing but success ahead,” they stated.

Peter Shalulile (Released), Jayden Adams (Deceased), Terrence Mashego (Stellenbosch, Loan), Thapelo Maseko (FC Copenhagen, Denmark), Thato Sibiya (Lille, France) are the other players who are not part of the squad this season.
