Vusumuzi Vilakazi’s agent Mike Makaab has opened up on the former AmaZulu FC coach’s “deeper issues”.
The 42-year-old coach recently parted ways with Usuthu, ending co-coach arrangement with Arthur Zwane.
He left ‘10111’ in charge as a sole head coach after they were both appointed as joint coaches following the sacking of Pablo Franco Martin.
AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu explained that Vilakazi resigned due to recognizing personal issues impacting his club duties.
Vilakazi's representative, Makaab, described these issues as “deep,” stating they are providing ongoing support to address them.

‘THEY ARE DEEP ISSUES’
“He's got some certain personal issues that he has to attend to. They are deep issues and we are here to support him,” Makaab told Soccer Laduma
“We are going to help him through this difficult time. I believe that once these matters have been dealt with, he will be back sooner than later.
“He's a talented young coach and, with a clear mind, we hope to see him back on the field soon. It's a little bit of a sabbatical.
“We'll help him through the process of what he is going through and we will take it from there.”
