Another PSL club looks set to part ways with its coach who who has held the position for only three months.

Sekhukhune United, Marumo Gallants, and Richards Bay have already dismissed their coaches, who were appointed for the 2024/25 season, prior to even leading their teams in league matches.

Now, the Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka FC may soon part ways with their head coach, Morgan Mammila.

This potential decision follows a record of one defeat and one draw in their initial two league matches, as the team strives for promotion to the Betway Premiership.

Mammila was called to a meeting on Monday, during which the club's chairman Khurishi Mphahlele conveyed his dissatisfaction with the team's results.

He also admitted to being unhappy with the team's performance during the preseason, although he found it challenging to address these concerns with the coach before the season commenced.

Mammila has been instructed to submit a report by Friday, detailing the reasons for the team's underwhelming performance in the last two matches.

Following this, the chairman will make a decision regarding the coach's future.

CLUB'S CHAIRMAN – ‘I DIDN’T TELL THE COACH THAT I WASN’T HAPPY’

“We have asked for match reports from the two games because they were not good at all,” Mphahlele told FARPost.

“So I have given them until Friday so they can submit that match report. That match report will tell me if we have people who can take us somewhere or not.

“To my supporters, the Limpopo football fraternity and our sponsors, I can only apologise.

“I did not see this coming until we started the league. During the off-season, I was concerned about the performance of the team, and I was not happy.

“I did tell the coach that I was not happy with how we were playing. But I can only apologise to the supporters because our aim is to take this team to the next level.

“We don’t want to take this team backwards because right now the way we are going, we are going backwards unless something very drastic happens and very quick.”
