Bafana Bafana forward Mihlali Mayambela has left Cypriot club Aris Limassol six months before his contract expires amid reports of an interest from Kaizer Chiefs.

Mayambela has been at the club for three years and had six months left on his deal before opting to part ways early on mutual consent.

It is not known why the winger opted to leave before the end of his contract but reported interest from Chiefs and Cypriot club Omnia Nicosia could have been behind the decision as he looks to catch the eye of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
