‘Broos should have left Bafana Bafana after AFCON! He’s clueless; SA played not to lose but still lost’

Bafana Bafana fell 2-1 against Panama in an international friendly game staged at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Tuesday night.

Jose Cordoba opened the scoring in the 58th minute before Mbekezeli Mbokazi leveled matters after 64 minutes. However, Jiovany Ramos scored the winner with 13 minutes to go when he converted Puma’s assist to ensure his team won.

The initial meeting for the two teams on Friday ended 1-1 as the hosts missed some good scoring opportunities, the same as Tuesday. Both nations were using the game to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Here are the reactions from the fans.

We should replace Khuliso Mudau with Kamogelo Sebelebele, who can run, dribble, cross, and score. Mudau is useless, and we always concede when Themba Zwane is on the pitch – Skipper Bucs

Hugo Broos has never beaten a team above Bafana Bafana in FIFA rankings. He only won against Morocco, which was a lucky win. I expect South Africa to be out in the group stage – Kamohelo

This was a good friendly to play against a team almost similar to Mexico, now people understand why they are ranked 30 places above us. We have a lot of work to do – Babakho

We need another friendly or even two, please. We are far from being ready for the World Cup – Divine Destiny

Bafana Bafana didn’t play to win; in my opinion, they played not to lose and still lost – SA didn’t play to win; in my opinion, they played not to lose and still lost.

Broos was benefiting from Rulani Mokwena’s Sundowns, let’s be honest. He has no plan, we might not even score in the World Cup – The Vezzy

Our Team is not ready for the World Cup. Request FIFA to postpone the tournament by another two months to give us time to prepare properly – Dakalo Ndou

If Hugo Broos didn’t learn that his stubbornness and pride won’t get us anywhere, then I don’t know – Mr. Huma

Hugo Broos should have left right after AFCON. He has no clue whatsoever – Pierre
