‘Blame SAFA for dropping ball! We told Bafana’s Broos to select Cele but he played Mokoena; correct call by FIFA’

World Football Governing Body, FIFA, have docked South Africa three points and handed Lesotho a 3-0 win after Mzansi fielded suspended Teboho Mokoena against them in March.

The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder had been cautioned twice in the initial 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Group C, but Bafana Bafana record keepers failed to note that as he was fielded in his team's 2-0 win over the Crocodiles in March, explaining the sanction by FIFA.

With two rounds to go, Hugo Broos' men still lead the race for the World Cup with 14 points, the same as second-placed Benin while Rwanda and Nigeria have 11 points each

Have a look at what the fans in Mzansi have said as sampled by Afrik-Foot.
