Mamelodi Sundowns‘ hopes of winning the second Caf Champions League star were dashed on Sunday night after a 2-1 loss against Pyramids, and a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

It was not an anticipated result by the majority of the South Africans, especially after the Premier Soccer League giants got past Al Ahly in the semi-final.
