Chiefs coach Nabi on areas he wants to strengthen in January transfer window

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has weighed in on discussions about the positions that require reinforcement in the January transfer window.

Amakhosi made a couple of signings in June following the arrival of the Tunisian-Belgian tactician in June.

However, Chiefs couldn’t complete some of the signings they wanted to make including Asanele Velebayi and Oswin Appollis.

Nabi says he wants to give an opportunity to play to each and every player in the squad he has.

He refused to reveal the specific areas targeted for strengthening at this time, stating that he must show respect to the players currently occupying those positions.

NABI SAYS HE WILL GIVE OPPORTUNITY TO ALL PLAYERS AT HIS DISPOSAL

“We don’t have 12, 13 players, we have more than that,” said Nabi at the Carling Knockout Cup press conference.

“So we’ve got enough players that can replace whoever that is injured. We are trying to give everyone a chance especially those who don’t have game time and we trust and believe in them, in their abilities to replace in their best capacities and as much as possible.

“I’m not going to fall into the trap of saying what the positions or players that we need to buy because I need to respect the players that are currently available to me.

“And at the right time, with the work that we have already started with the club, with the scouting department we’ll find that rare breed that is going to help us in the future.”
