Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley has discussed his long-term and short term ambitions.
The 22-year-old centre-back moved to Amakhosi from relegated Cape Town Spurs at the start of the current campaign.
He has quickly established himself as a regular in the starting lineup at Chiefs, partnering with another new man in Inacio Miguel who signed from Angolan giants Petro de Luanda.
Dortley aspires to secure a transfer to a prestigious club in one of Europe’s leading football leagues.
THE LONG-TERM AMBITION FOR DORTLEY
“Long-term, everyone’s dream is to go overseas,” said Dortley.
“Everyone says Europe but there’s different countries in Europe. So, you can’t just say you want to go to Europe.

“I think for me is to play in a good league overseas. For me, my goal is to play at highest level football has to offer.”
His short-term focus is on leading Chiefs back to glory and breaking their trophy drought.
DORTLEY SAYS HE WANTS TO HELP CHIEFS WIN TROPHIES
“And my short-term goal is to give my best at Kaizer Chiefs and to win trophies,” he added.
“That’s what the club has been missing and I want to give my 100% and my all to Kaizer Chiefs.”
