Chiefs gives update regarding upcoming ‘changes’

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have affirmed their commitment to squad development, announcing that detailed plans regarding their playing personnel are already in advanced stages as they look ahead to the 2025/26 campaign. This underscores a concerted effort to optimize their team.

Amakhosi had bad season, particularly in the Betway Premiership, ending the campaign within the bottom half of the league standings. They accumulated 32 points from 28 league matches.

This means, Amakhosi only managed eight wins, eight draws and 12 defeats in the league under the new leadership of Nasreddine Nabi.

However, the Tunisian tactician guided Chiefs to Nedbank Cup triumph, ending the club’s ten-year trophy drought as they beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Glamour Boys have so far released four players in Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe as well as the DStv Diski Challenge duo of Siphesihle Tati and Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi.

On the other hand, Chiefs reserve team finished the season on a high as they were crowned DDC Champions in the competition’s 10th anniversary.

In preparation for the upcoming term, the club has since released an official statement detailing their plans to bolster their squad.
